Hi! I am Matt. A cosplayer located in San Diego, California.

In 2015 I stepped into my first Anime Expo and began my cosplaying journey. The amazing props and outfits, the smiling faces, and the general acceptance of the whole community… It was a dream come true! Seven years later, I have attended more conventions and built even more cosplays than I can remember. Though I do have a special place in my heart for cosplaying as Super Saiyan Goku, Forrest Gump, and Star Power Luigi. Cosplaying will always be a passion of mine!

Shortly after discovering my new cosplaying obsession, I started also getting into 3D printing and prototyping. It wasn't long before I started envisioning cosplay props made by 3D printing instead of foam and other flimsy materials. I loved building my cosplay and props from scratch, but there was only so much I could do with foam.

After 3D printing my first prop, Goku Super Saiyan hair, I knew the possibilities for 3D printing in Cosplay were endless.

But after pushing through cosplay building struggles, I was not only proud of my handmade props, but confident in them. All that researching, drafting, assembling, gluing, and painting resulted in something detailed, something clean, and something so durable it could even take a hit!

With each convention I continued to perfect my 3D printing skills and share my experience with the rest of the community. After spending 5 years of designing and 3D printing my own cosplay props and accessories, and overcoming and learning from all of the complications and setbacks that come with 3D printing, I decided it would be best to share my creations and knowledge with other cosplayers.

Kosplayit is my buisness that I created for providing 3D printer compatible digital models of props from your favorite anime and video games.
