3D FILE DETAILS

I decided to split the sword in half for ease of rendering and due to the thin and intricate blade section. I feared that the printed parts with tall vertical dimensions would make the completed sword very fragile. With the layers oriented 90 degrees, the blade will have much more strength and durably. I also did my best to give this sword and old weathered look on some parts as that is what it looked like in game and on the game texture files.

The large dowel voids in the handle is for a 10mm or 3/8" (410mm long) dowel and the two smaller dowel voids are for 4 mm or 5/32" (705 mm) dowels.

Parts are printed in white PLA+ filament with scaffolding supports removed.

I did my best to position the seams to be hidden easily or easily sandable. I also positioned the slices to allow for preservation of the fine model details when you 3D print the pieces.
