3D FILE DETAILS ****************** There are 4.25 mm (for 4mm or 5/32" wooden dowels) dowel slots to help align each piece during gluing and provide additional structural stiffness and support.
There are 13.5 mm (for 12.5mm or 1/2" wooden dowels) dowel slots to help align each piece during gluing and provide additional structural stiffness and support.
There is 20 mm (for 3/4" or 19mm wooden dowels) dowel slots to help align each piece during gluing and provide additional structural stiffness and support.
The 20mm dowel also acts as part of the hammer model and should be 4 feet long to create a 5 foot tall hammer. You can shorter or lengthen this dowel to change the overall length of the hammer if you want.
For the 6 foot scale hammer, 16.5 mm (for 16mm dowels or 5/8" dowels) dowel slots and a 23mm dowel slot (7/8" or 22mm dowel) are used instead.
3D PRINTING RECOMMENDATIONS ************************************* I strongly recommend using PLA+ filament. I also recommend using 3 perimeter walls and 5% hexagonal infill.
3D PRINTED KIT DETAILS *************************** Parts are printed in white PLA+ filament with scaffolding supports removed.
CONTACT AND MISCELLANEOUS ************************************* I did my best to position the seams to be hidden easily or easily sandable. I also positioned the slices to allow for preservation of the fine model details when you 3D print the pieces.
